Rebecca Grossman Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison for Murder

A judge on Monday sentenced Rebecca Grossman to 15 years in prison for the 2020 crash in Westlake Village that killed two young brothers.
Grossman, a Los Angeles socialite, was found guilty on all five charges including murder in the deaths of two young brothers who were crossing a street in Westlake.
The crash occurred on June 13, 2020, when Grossman's SUV struck the two brothers, who were 7 and 9 years old. The boys were crossing the street on a green light when Grossman's SUV ran a red light and hit them.
Grossman was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. She had a blood alcohol content of .18, more than twice the legal limit.
In a statement, the family of the victims said they were "heartbroken" by the verdict and the sentence.
"This is a reminder to all drivers that driving under the influence is never acceptable," the family said. "Our hearts go out to the families of the two young boys who were killed."
